Cristine gets P1M bonus for ‘No Other Woman’
CRISTINE Reyes would neither admit nor deny the report na sila ng dalawa pa niyang co-stars sa blockbuster movie na No Other Woman, Anne Curtis at Derek Ramsey, were given each a bonus of P1M. Repeat, P1M, by the production’s twin producers, Star Cinema at Viva Films.
She admits, though, na nalulula siya sa amount na nakasaad sa tseke na pa-bonus sa kanya. It was much, much more than the talent fee she received for her services sa pelikula.
But more than the bonus daw, it’s the idea na nakagawa siya ng pelikulang tunay niyang maipagmamalaki nang labis na ikinatataba ng kanyang puso. For her, it’s an achievement that no amount can buy.
“I want to be a better actress sa mga darating ko pang movies or TV series,” ani Cristine. I will do everything to prove I have what it takes, para maituring na actress in the true sense of the word.”

Like in her performance as the wife na palaban sa No Other Woman, Cristine, likewise, is getting raves sa kanyang pagpapakitang-gilas in playing the lead role in Reputasyon.
She manages to hold her own, wika nga, sa mga eksenang makikipag-pit talent siya with such seasoned performers as Aiko Melendez, Jaclyn Jose at Laurice Guillen, among others.
For her leading man in Reputasyon, Cristine has real-life sweetheart Rayver Cruz, and promising actor Jason Abalos.
Sa nabanggit na presscon, naitanong kay Cristine kung sino na ba sa kanila ng kanyang nakatatandang kapatid na si Ara Mina ang mas maraming savings sa bangko.
“Siyempre naman, ang Ate Ara,” sagot niya quickly. “’Di lang dahil nauna nga siyang nag-artista kesa akin, kung hindi, she knows how to invest her money.
“But I’d say I’m learning from her. I seek her advice where to invest my earnings.”
’Di pa rin daw nabibili ang bahay nila sa Provident Village sa Marikina City, where we all know was one of the plush subdivisions sa nabanggit na lugar na binaha noong Typhoon Ondoy.
Right now daw, she and her mom live in connecting two townhouses which she was able to purchase sa kanyang own money.
Sa ibang subdivision naman nakatira ang kanyang Ate Ara.
Ara now appears in the series Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum on TV5.
