Pauleen Luna, Vic Sotto Are ‘Dating’
Pauleen Luna is the new “first lady” of the noon-time variety show Eat Bulaga! as she and veteran comedian Vic Sotto are dating, a Philippine Star entertainment column reports. The report said the two are now officially an item, according to a source close to them.
“Yes, they are ‘officially’ an item as confirmed to Funfare by somebody close to them, that’s why you must have noticed some very subtle sweetness in the way they treat each other on Eat Bulaga,” PhilStar columnist Ricky Lo wrote.
The news drew mixed reactions primarily because of the wide age gap. Vic is 57 while Pauleen is only 23.
Some netizens in social networking sites commented that Vic, often called “Bossing” by his co-hosts, staff and fans, is “too old for Pauleen,” saying the latter is “almost his grand daughter by age” and the affair, if true, is “unthinkable.”
Another netizen asked “If you’re young and pretty, will you fall for this old man when there are lots of good looking young guys running after you? Oh come on Pauline!”
But the feedback is not all-negative.
A fan claimed he is very impressed that Bossing still managed to attract a girl as pretty and young as Pauleen despite his age.
The pro side, or those who are in favor of the relationship, also urged others to just respect Vic and Pauleen’s right to choose each other as boyfriend-girlfriend instead of becoming judgmental.
